Witzzle Pro Math

Witzzle Pro is for 4^th and 5^th grade students.  A witzzle (witty puzzle) is comprised of a unique 3–by-3 array of the digits 1-9.  Students are challenged to manipulate 3 digits and 2 operations to = a target number. Students must draw on their knowledge of basic math facts, understanding of number and operations, and problem solving strategies.  The math club will meet at least once a week in the morning before school.  The Club will participate in a tournament with neighboring schools and then in a county wide tournament at Radloff Middle School in May 2008. Go to brookwoodelementary.com and follow the curriculum connections through general interest, to math sites for more information.  You can play on line or order your own game and play at home with friends and family.  It is a fun way to hone those math skills.
